Games and sports have been played for thousands of years. It is just natural for us to run, jump and play.
First of all, games give us a joy that we cannot have through any other activity. You may eat the best food, you may listen to the best music or you may do something else equally enjoyable. But, when you play, your whole body and perhaps all your mind are in the game.
Secondly, games improve (make better) our health. When we play outside in the field, we exercise all the time. Almost every part of our body develops, the mind starts function (working) better.
Thirdly, games and sports are good for character - training. When we play with several other people, we learn to co-operate (to work together), to struggle (too make great efforts).and to complete (to try to do better than others). Thus, we learn to help the players of our own team and to get their help.
What we learn on the playground helps us in practical life. In different professions or fields, we try to Co - operate , to struggle and to complete in the best possible ways. We try to help others and get their help. We try to do better than others with a smile.
Fourthly, when we play we learn to lead. A good player teaches others how to play and others like to follow him. The captain Al the head of the team is the supreme leader. Qualities of good leadership bring success in life.
All the advanced nations understand well the value of games and sports. We should have better facilities of playing in our villages, towns and cities.
